Sunday Open Zen – January 9th, 2022

Dharma talk given by Daishin McCabe of Zen Fields in Ames. He is a dharma heir of Dai-en Bennage Roshi, with whom he studied in monastic residence for 15 years; he has also practiced in Japan at several training temples and with Thich Nhat Hanh in France.

Daishin has a B.A. in Religion and Biology from Bucknell University. He has trained as a behavioral health chaplain and facilitates the healing of trauma TCTSY (Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga). He teaches at the Shogaku Zen Institute and World Religions at the Des Moines Area Community College and is also grateful to be a member of the Pure Land of Iowa community.
